December 11, 2014 – Valence, France: in partnership with members of the SIMUCEDO and Airbus group consortium, Aerospace cluster in Rhône-Alpes organized a conference dealing with the challenges of numerical simulation in ECM regarding more electrical planes and carbon structures. More than 90 participants attended the event.
Among them, several officials of the French aeronautics supply-chain (such as Airbus Helicopter, Intertechnique Group Zodiac, Sagem, Radiall, Labinal, Zodiac, Electric Power System, Thales Avionics, Amphemol, Air Liquide, Crouzet, SFK, etc.) debated the relevance of numerical simulation in this field as well as the main EMC aeronautic challenges, and discussed their experiences.
- The challenges of environmental qualifications of more electrical plane’s onboard systems: Richard PERRAUD (Airbus Group, innovations)
- Expected benefits of electromagnetic phenomena’s numerical simulation: Arnaud AMBROISE (Thales Avionics Valence)
- State-of-the-Art in modeling & simulation of electromagnetic phenomena: Edith CLAVEL (G2Elab laboratory) and Christian VOLLAIRE (Ampère laboratory)
- Low frequency ECM simulation of power and equipment systems: Enrico VIALARDI (Cedrat)
- EMC challenges perceived by an electronic tier-2 equipment manufacturer: Jean-Christophe CHAINGNE (Adeneo, Adetel Group)
- Electromagnetic simulation platform and industrial models management: Jean-Claude KEDZIA (ESI Group)
- The interest of digital simulation of a BCI test under the RTCA DO 160 standard: Léonce MUTEL (AVNIR EMC, AVNIR Group)
- Feedback regarding test conduct under RTCA DO 160 standard: Thierry RAFESTHAIN (EMITECH)
The event was concluded with the ESYNOV platform inauguration, within Grenoble INP-ESISAR, and in the presence of elected representatives and regional officials. All participants appreciated the presentation’s quality and the discussions’ richness; actions dealing with the topic continue, systems integrators and equipment manufacturers counting on the SIMUCEDO consortium to move forward.
